Speaker: Spacers & brackets.
So on my 2005 scion xb. I have pioneer 6.5 speakers all the way around front and rear. They in there very ghetto. I was wondering what brackets and spacers i needed to make them sit in there right. I don't have the tools to make my own or I would; I need to purchuse them from somewhere. I found these on ebay; but i really want to make sure they are right before i buy them. All i have is a hole in my door & rear...no mount bracket or spacers...do i need both? or is there just 1 ring that will do it all? space & mount? Thanks for your help

Hey, those two links are the same thing from the same seller and that is exactly what you need.
crutchfield also has them for around the same price along with many other places online.
When I drilled out the rivets on the OEM speakers there will be a bigger hole than 6.5" and that is why you need the speaker adapter. the one in your link also has a built in spacer that is needed because if it is not there the speaker would go further into the door frame and the back (magnet) would be in the way of you rolling the window down.
another option is to get a jigsaw and cut out the OEM speaker from what it was attached to and drill in the new speaker to it. and put it back on the door.
BTW, the only store that came to my mind that would carry such an item other than a stereo shop was Best Buy. So I still remember doing this on a Sunday and finding out about this adapters and drove of to BB and the geek squad didn't know the difference from the spacer to a ham sandwich. I was explaining to them what I needed and saying they carried it online, but I went in person since I already had the door panels removed and didn't want to wait to get it shipped. anyways, the geeks didn't know and we head over to the installation bay and then the guy working there said he also has a box and he put in the the spacers *and hands me the bag*, I look at it and think no way would this work and bought it anyways. he assures me they'll work $20+ tax. get home and put my spacer in the spacers and I cannot get even 3 screws to match up to the holes in the spacers and even worse the spacer by itself to the door. I look at the instructions saying to drill holes into the door if the holes don't match up. no way would I do that when I could get the proper adapter like in your links.

Actually they arent the same thing one is for the front & one is for the rear...thanks for your reply! I hope to have something figured out soon!
this is exactly what i did ( actually had another memeber do ) 7 years ago with Pioneer components i bought from Walmart. My stereo still screams and thumps with no problems. Using the exsisting plastic rings will save you time and money.
