Stupid o/d button
 

i went on a 2000 mile trip last week and my fat a$$ leg hit that stupid button at least 12 times going 80 mph. now im a big boy and my leg rests on the dang o/d button. my question is has anyone shortened the stock knob? i notice there is 2 or so inches of bar on the stock shifter. can you cut it so the bottom of the stock knob is on the floor well as low as it can get. yes i know i can relocate the button but i dont want to because my knee will still hit the shifter. if i cut the bar what about the button(to shift out of park), do i need to cut anything on that? please post pics if you have any...
