I was wondering if anyone has tried swapping these two items?

I plan on replacing the current headunit with a different one.
I thought in the mean time I'd try to see if I could swap the current headunit into the aux box spot and vice versa...anyone tried...seems simple enough...might look rough around the edges but I want to spice up the blandness of the center area....
