Wiring Diagram Needed
I'm installing a 12" sub in my XB. I'm hooking it up to the stock HU and I'm using a small jensen amp. I'm using a line converter instead of RCA cables b/c the stock head unit has no RCA outputs. I've got the power line run already, but I'm still looking for a good place to put the ground wire. Any suggestions?? I'm nut sure how I'm going to hook up the line converter to the rear speaker. I have 4 wires coming off of the converter, and I think I only need to use the signal from 1 set of rear speakers. Any input on this??
I'm assuming that converter has 4 wires for 2 channels. You can connect 2 of those wires (a positive and negative for the same channel) to one of the rear speakers and then connect your amp to it.
Yep, it's got 4 wires. I guess it really doesn't make sense though. The wires on the converter are female connectors, and so are the wires from the car. I guess I'll have to get a female to female connector.
Got everything installed and it sounds great. There's much more depth to the sound system now. I took a bunch of pictures and I'll submit a "how to" with every wire needed to be spliced for a system with a line converter.
