Hi! I am new to this cite but I was just curious I have a 2004 xB and just recently my door locks won't lock when the alarm is set or if I press the lock button.
I have to manually push the locks down, and use the key to unlock/lock it.
First started with the Drivers side door now it is the rear passenger door too. they wont even lock when the car is on.

Anyone else have this problem?

I wish it was that simple. I took it to the Dealer they said the motor bad so I was wondering if it was common among Boxes.

Since you said it is definitely NOT the 25A fuse that feeds the Door Lock Control Relay (on a blue/white wire, my questions would be:

1. Can you use the lock switch on any of the doors, (or the master on the drivers door to electrically lock/unlock any of the doors)? Since it is really very unlikely that all the motors died at the same time. I would look again to see if power is getting to the Door Lock Control Relay ((blue/white stripe)
if no lock/unlock switches will operate. The Door Lock Control relay is located on the right side of the drivers foot well, almost right above the Gas Pedal (pretty high up in the well, and possibly on the console side, not the firewall). It could of totally cooked, and cause this problem.
2. If any of the doors, including the rear hatch unlock/lock electrically, then power is getting to the relay, and as you said, the fuse is good.
3. Does the back door unlock electrically? when you pull up the handle? It is , again, not a power supply problem.
4. If any door unlocks electrically, it is not "that" motor that is bad.
The door lock/unlock switches are not in line with the individual motors. All switches feed back to the Door Lock Control Relay. And the Door Lock Control Relay then actuates the individual motors, depending on switch position.
5. It could be a ground problem. The normal switches all tie to one ground. However the rear Hatch Switch has its own ground. So that is why it is important to figure out what is actually not working.
6. If one motor went bad, and took down all the other door lock/unlock operatiions at the same time. Then I would think the Door Lock Control Relay is bad.
7. If just one door lock/unlock won't operate, then the motor is very suspect, or again it could be the Door Lock Control relay (set of contacts went bad.)
To assure you can find the Door Lock Control Relay; this is the color wires that will be connected to it!

2 Blue/white (Second color, if there is one is the color of the stripe on the wire)
1 White/Black
2 Brown/yellow
1 Green/black
2 Blue/Red
1 Yellow/Black
1 Yellow/Green
1 Blue/Black
1 Blue/Orange
1 Red
1 Red/White
1 Blue/yellow
1 White/red
1 Pink
1 Yellow
1 Violet/white
1 Red/black

As you can see, this is not a "Relay" in the normal use of the word (multitude of relays would be a better name. It will have these 20 wires going into/out of it.
