XBRS3.0 Active Crossover?
Hello all. I am brand new to this forum and I was wondering if anybody knows how exactly the Premium Alpine System is wired up in the RS3.0? Trying to keep my stock HU, at least for now. Does it use the active crossover system method?
I need to know this because I recently jumped the gun and purchased some component speakers thinking "well I have tweeters in the dash and woofers in the door so this must be a component setup." Foolish of me I know.
What I'm wondering at this point is, if the RS3.0 utilizes a crossover system then I don't need the crossovers that came with my recent purchase correct? If this is true, will wiring the tweeters directly to where the stock tweeters were, and wiring the woofers directly to where the stock woofers were affect the sound quality in a negative way?
Also, since the tweeters will not be connected to their supplied crossovers will they be getting too much power? Should I use a resistor to level out the sound? I know the doors require more power obviously just a little confused here as to what's really going on behind the radio. Kind of hard to find info on a stereo that was only put in 2,200 units.
Sorry that was so long, okay I admit it. I'm a lot confused. haha

Anybody good with the RS3.0 sound systems able to help me out here?
I'm thinking of just running a full range signal RCA adapter from the radio to a 5 channel amp then running the components like they come in the box with the given crossovers.
Thoughts?
