Yeah dude! Mine are that color you are calling orange and I am calling red. I think used is a good idea due to what I hear called "sag" already built in. I have had 2 sets of aftermarket springs (and one of shocks) and never noticed the springs 'settling' but would like it if they did, so used sounds good to me. Fairly easy to install (go by the sticky if the pics are still there. I would reccomend using a press if possible on the struts. I'm 200# and couldn't manage to compress them enough to swap springs ('course, I'm also pretty damned old)!

Now if someone would just answer my questions on the Echo struts and monroe numbers and products!

THX!!!

Thanks man for the info. On my computer it looked orange. On my buddies computer it looks RED. I think I will buy a new set in RED, just to be safe.

I read the enitire post and have 2 questions

1 - I'm going to be on stock steelies (15's) any problems with scraping (normal drvin/driveways), or tires hitting the fenders, rubbing, any of that fun stuff?

2 - What year Toyota Echo are people getting the struts from?

ok i put the tanabe df210s on my car. does anybody have a picture or diagram on how much of the bumpstop needs to be cut when running the df210s. i currently have them on the car with the full bumpstop but want to take them off to cut the bumpstop which will improve the ride and also lower my stance....any picture or referencing will be appreciated

Quick question, how well would 205 tires fit with DF210s?

Running 225/35R18 on some 18x7.5 with a 38 offset. No rubbing at all. I could push the back out a half inch at least without rubbing.

Running 205s on those rims should be fine.

Hopefully, I have some severe dips on the roads I use.
I'm ready to beef it up for my next set of tires.
I want Koni's all around, 205s, sitting on DF210s. I'm almost there.

That's what I run in the summer. I love the setup. My only gripe with the DFs is that they sag in back when you have passengers.

what do you mean exactly when you say they sag in the back when there's passenger? I have two kids.

Kids don't weigh as much so you should be fine. A little rubbing on bigger bumps isn't so bad if you do experience rubbing.

Well...The term "rake" always meant lower in the front than the rear. "Dumped" was another term used for the same thing. To be lower in the rear than the front was termed "sittin' L.A." Had a '58 chevy wagon that had the hood so high I couldn't see over it! Anyway.......
My box sat front low with the Tanabe's on the front and the TRD's on the rear but with Tanabe's all around, the rear is a tad lower than the front. I also have an amp, speaker box and 2 12" speakers back there. Using the headlight alignment as a guide, I will say that it is sitting at the same angle as when it was new. The Tanabe's are a bit soft for my tastes but the TRD's were too high! I am gonna cut a bit off the fronts and will post pics then.

When it comes to our drivers we say "raked out" for the rear to be lower, but on our derby cars we sit the rear waaaaay lower and its called "bull dogged" lol

non the less, your sayin the rear will sit a tad lower with 210s all around, so thats what i am looking for...THNX for the info!!

Here is a good :sittin L.A. pic for ya
