Any interest in 2.75" or 3" lowering springs?????

Would anyone be interested in lowering their Xb around 2.75"-3"? I ask because i myself would like a 3" drop for the xB because the 2" does not seam to lower it enough especially with 18's and 19's. Let me know because we are thinking about fabricating some springs for the xB. If you are interested let me know what kind of a drop you'd like. Thanks guys.

how much?

Did you want a drop that will tuck the entire side wall of a 215x35x18 tires inside the fender?

What about strut/springs to match the 3" drop?

3" drop will look cool.

Not sure on price as of yet. Yea i basically want it so there is no wheel gap in bewteen tire and fender. The bB needs to be LOW!!!! :)

I will look into struts and shocks to see what will work. I'm assuming the regular struts that are used for lwoering cars will work out just fine.

No gaps here. I'm running spy springs with 18" rims with 215x35x18 in the front and 225x40x18 in the back.

Scionara- What type of springs are you running?

The car has gone through many different suspension iterations, and I'm not even sure what exactly is in there now. Last I remember, it was running springs for another make of vehicle too... =X

scionara and i are running spy-2in drop on 18's. Rogers set up is unique because he's running two tire sizes for the front and rear.

i'm on your standard 215/35/18's and would be interested in getting lower. on my set-up, i know theres room. i just don't see how long one's stock shocks could last very long with dampening that kind of a load...not to mention putting folks in the back seat, cargo, etc. ive noticed some things about being lowered in the bB, and that is you can get the gaps out with 2+ inches, but youre not too low that you have clearance problems at the bottom of the car...and i think thats what (the look) one would be going after with 3 inches (me, me, me). in short, i would think about shocks when fabricating the 2.75-3 inch drop.

if it works...consider me in line for mine.

3-4" would be fine. i had my car about 4.5" lower than stock with 19s and it was fine. ok so i couldn't drive or turn, but it looked cool. i am on 16s now and i am 6" lower than stock and i can drive and turn without anything rubbing. so i am sorry, but i laugh when people are concerned with lowering their car 2". we need to see some 3" and 4" lowering springs. if done right, the ride will be fine and it will look good. IMO, scions are too high right now.

Does anyone have the springs rates of the stock springs for front and rear? I also need the length of the springs for front and rear? What are the springs rates for some aftermarket springs for the Xb, eibach, sprint, spy, tanabe, etc..?

Does anyone in the bay area have any stock springs we can borrow so we can take measurements and things like that. Let me know. Thank you in advance for all your help. :)

i have a set of stock springs, but i'm sure there is someone in san jose that can get you some. talk to van at piercy scion. i'm sure he has a set he can let you borrow. i'm way down here in newport beach and shipping would be probably $20-30.

I do have a set of stock xB springs that are sorta just chilling around right now, but I can only lend them out, not give them to you. Still gonna need them back to convert the company car back to stock later.... just in case. PM me if you want to borrow them to measure them or something.

scionara 10-06-2003 10:27 PM

If you want to borrow my stock springs, just let me know but I need it back just in case the AWD xB comes to shore and I need to sell my xB in a stock form. Email me or try catching me on AOL IM or Yahoo IM.

bBOXD 10-08-2003 07:53 PM
