Default VSC and Traction Control Lights On, No faults.

2006' Scion xB 170k, 5speed .
No CEL , or Fault Codes. Just the VSC, ABS and Traction Control Off is illuminated.

I do believe a tie-rod is going out on my passenger side .

A Jeep compass had same issue , new upper and lower control aims were changed and an alignment was done. That had fixed the VSC Traction Off lights issue in that case.

I was also reading it may be the angel sensor / clockspring , if so how should I go about test/reset ?

Ideas?

Check the ABS speed sensor.

I heard the electrical connectors on the rear ABS can become corroded
The lights being on, tell you the computer has turned off these systems.

If those lights are on, first thing I would do is see if the brake fluid is low.

If the brake fluid is not low, there ARE codes.....you just don't have the proper diagnostics tool to see them.

You need a tool which is able to "Scan All Modules".

Installing "new upper and lower control arms and getting an alignment done" will not solve (or trigger) warning lights on the dash of any vehicle. Nor will a Tie Rod End wearing out. Those are purely mechanical suspension components and adjustments. A proper code reader will tell you what's going on with your xB. I do not recommend throwing new parts at the problem until you fully understand the cause(s).
