^^^ to answer your question on pricing, it's really hard to say.
prices fluctuate so much between sellers and depending on the time of year. i personally would just say go to the sponsored sales section and just look around for the items you're looking for, PM the seller/company about their prices, and then price match as best you can to get a great deal.
also, froogle is your friend. froogle the springs you want and see what it spits back at you.
also, used springs from people on this forum is another great way to save. look out for people going back to stock or switching setups. you can usually get a great price on springs you're looking for that way.

i got my tanabe df-210's from chris at explicit-motoring. 909-319-7892. i believe they were $160.00 including shipping. mine are red in color. i replaced the TRD's i had put on at 1,500 miles and the ride is better and the look is the best!

THIS JUST IN!!! edited 11/28/07. to be honest guys, i only put the tanabe's on the front. with the TRD's still on the rear it has a very nice rake to it. and this is why you will see me in the classifieds selling TRD fronts and tanabe rears! also, the TRD's are stiffer and with the added progress anti-sway (rear) this bad boy goes EXACTLY where it is pointed at almost any speed!

OK I am tired of having such a rough ride. Does anybody know what I should switch to for a smoother & more comfortable ride. I do not plan on lowering, but I did install the Hotchkis sway bars F&R, thanks to the DFW Scikotics, to get rid of the rocking when a strong wind blows or get passed by semi. It has worked great & has done what I wanted. Now I what to smooth the ride out. I just do not know where I should turn next.

You need Monroe shock and struts all around. Monroe now has part numbers for the xB front and rear. I have Monroes in the rear and they really smooth out the ride.

No problem. The stock shocks IMO are way too stiff for such a lightweight vehicle. They do not allow the suspension to absorb the inpacts.

[/quote]Actually, Monroe #5987 shocks would help out in the rear with that hard a$$ed ride. It is about a 70 dollar mod. The stock shocks do not compress during a bump so all that energy gets transferred right to the seat of your pants. [/quote
Question: I've just been on the tech line at Monroe Shocks and the rep said he had no record of a #5987 shock. They suggest a 5601. Please advise and thanks in advance.

gonegray, 5987 was an Echo part number. For your xB go ahead and get the number for the xB. Let us know how they ride.

So I opted for the Eibach sportline springs and i have a nice smooth ride not as rough a ride as the Tanabe but the same drop. I have about 10k on the springs and i am sitting at about 2.25" drop front and rear while still on the stock shock front and rear

Your best bet is to go thru the registry and find xAs that are running them.

IMO, the xA needs a bigger drop (like the DF210) to clean up the fender gap.

Agreed, they look like mini crossover vehicles at stock height. Hella fender gap to overcome.

Default Scion Xa

I hope someone notices this. I am waiting for my new wheels for my Xa coming next week. 17x7 +40 offset, with 215/45 tires. Does anybody know how low i can go on springs without rubbing? Any pictures? Struggled looking from the posted photos.

For pics go thru the xA registry and see what others have already done.
