Default Energy Suspension vs Moog control arm (complete)

I need some help with choosing a path to replace my 2004 XB1 suspension. I use it as a daily driver. It is not lowered and has 232000 miles on it. I see on Ebay that I can buy the complete Moog control arm with ball joint for $110 and free shipping. However, I see that Energy Suspension does have control arm bushings and ball joint boot covers. I just replaced my struts and want to get rid of squeaks and a loose suspension. Since I am a stock XB1 driver, do I really need Energy Suspension bushings? Seems like with the miles on the box and the use, the complete control arm is the way to go. Especially for ease of installation. Please guide me. Thanks!!!

Moog is always good stuff. I just installed the one Energy Suspension bushing the 8.3123R kit comes with. Not a bad job if you feel comfy with suspension work. I need to find if someone has tried replacing the aft mount (the closest one in the pic). Also, looking at their catalog where did you find a part number for ball-joint dust boots? Thx

I couldn't find the bushing for that mount either. This is one of the reasons that I am thinking of going with the complete control arm from Moog. As for the dust boots, there is a local speed shop here in Walnut Creek that said they could get them. I didn't get a part number. I'll give them a call and try to get the part number for you. Have you changed out your sway bar bushings? It doesn't look to difficult.

Yup, I have a 20 ton press, but the instructions show you how to do it without needing that.

Though listed as a tie-rod end boot, the Energy Suspension 9.13119R fits for a ball-joint dust boot.

Spoke to the speed shop today. They told me the exact same thing. Thanks for the checking in. I just bought my energy suspension sway bar bushings.
