yah, i've noticed a little knock type sound when i hit a big speed bump reel fast, but other than that they're pretty quiet. I was gunna post the same question, but i didn't know how to describe the sound.

Well, I am on TRDs...the only noice coming out of them is a little "pfft" over little bumps....just the shocks making gassy noises.

<~running tanabe NF210.
they come with bump stops and this plastic wrap
around thing so ur springs don't click.
ZERO sounds and the ride feels 99% like stock.

nah....especially if both of ours do it...i think its either the sound of the shocks hitting the bump stop, or the springs clanging cuz they're bein compressed so fast..dunno...it only happens on big bumps that i take to fast....i'm cool with it...just to be sure, i jacked up the car and checked all the bolts and everything looks fine.

ok, heres what it is. The coils on the rears springs are so compressed that they actually touch each other, and possibly touch the side of the lower spring pocket. You can eliminate the sound by wrapping the lower portion of the spring with spiral wrap loom like the Tanabe's. Eibach puts a section of hose over the spring, but it doubt that it would be easy to do that.

that stinks....seems like a huge oversight for goldline...I dont think I would like a suspension that makes clanking noises.

interesting ... i have GoldLines on mine..and i haven't experienced such clanking noise...where did you guys get ur installed?

when i got mine installed...they kept the stock plastic/vinyl type wraps from the stock coils and put it on my GoldLines...i think that's y mine is quiet. as Randy said, put them around the second lower tier of the coils.

you are supposed to re-use the rubber spring isolators.

my cousin is a mechanic and while we were installing my springs, he mentioned about "if you hear clanking noises..spray the coils with WD40 once a while and that should fix it" but my TRD is not making that noise so....

sometimes when landing a big jump, the spy springs will make a slight noise.

i had a ramp set up and i was practicing my jumping through a hole in a train as it passed by. i probably should have had a ramp on the other side, but the springs still held up pretty well. i think david hasselhoff would get them if he had a scion.

yea..remind me to bust out the vid cam so we can have proof that you actually cleared the train this time. also the park rangers told me that you should stop practicing jumps over the local pond. they really didn't like that you know...
