Default Lowering springs and stock shocks...

Thinking of putting some new springs on my 06 Xb. Wondering how much I can drop before I have to start replacing shocks and other stuff. I assume that these will work just fine
Scion 2004-2007 xB TEIN S-Tech Springs (1.7F/ 1.5R) Part: SKL42-AUB00 : Amazon.com : Automotive Scion 2004-2007 xB TEIN S-Tech Springs (1.7F/ 1.5R) Part: SKL42-AUB00 : Amazon.com : Automotive

Are these too much?

Spring choice depends on a few factors, but most specifically on how low you want to drop. The lowest drop available on the 1st gen Scion xB on lowering springs is the Tanabe DF210. This drop can be done on stock struts/shocks as the install does entail cutting the original bumpstops to accommodate, but you will likely want to go ahead and swap out the rear shocks for an aftermarket set for the Toyota Echo. This will give you a nice ride on a decent drop without having to worry about the shock failing.

I put Tein S-Techs on my 06 xB and have no problems at all.

NF210's (about the same as the S-techs I believe) on mine w/stock shocks. 80k miles.
