lowest springs

whats springs or coil overs can i get for the most drop, i got 17's right now
soon ill have 18's. i want to be slammed, atleast 2 inches
and i dont want bags

TheDanger 10-13-2004 08:18 PM

Tanabes are the lowest springs i think. (2.0 in front, 2.2 in back) Goldlines are 2.0 inches all the way around. Now coilovers are going to be lower of course but there is HKS, TEIN, or others and i think get good amount past 3 inch drop.

I thought tanabes were 2.2 in front and 2 in back?

Yeah, from robears site:

Tanabe DF210 (Dress Form) Spring Kit 2.2 Inch Drop (FR) & 2.0 Inch Drop (RR) for Scion xB 04-UP

ayS 10-14-2004 05:33 PM

yes that is correct 2.2f/2.0r

PandaIst 10-14-2004 06:33 PM

I've driven a xB with DF210'S and it was stiff, not too bouncy at normal speeds, very simliar to Teins, IMO

I'm on Tein s-techs which are great springs too but just a tad smaller drop (not as low) but very cloe looks wise to the Tanabe's (a far as the look of the stance goes)

if I had to choose either Tanabe's, Teins or Goldines...

hotbox05 10-15-2004 07:05 PM

technically yes. well kind of. they would void any suspension warranty claim if it was proved that the springs are what caused the problem

BoomBox757 10-16-2004 03:35 AM

it depends on if your dealer is an _______ or not, my dealer slapped mine on for $60, real cool place, I know that even if I had 19" rims they would still cover what thats suppose to void. maybe if cause I'm friends with the owner, who knows  . Ellen stillwell at Casey Toyota/scion Williamsburg, is the ____

JdMBboFSD 10-16-2004 03:41 AM

The lowest set of springs out there would have to be the first gen of SPY'S. The first gen came out last year around july and dropped the car about 2.5 all the way around, the second gen was raised to 2inch drop all the way around. Scion life member "Da 1st" has them. :D

where and how much did you get them for?

firesquare 10-19-2004 06:36 PM

any wheel or suspenson shouldn't void anything! if your concern or your dealer is giving you crap talk to SEMA. they'll tell you what you can do. your dealer has rights as so does the aftermarket. the only warranty i can see voiding with the springs anyway is the actual spring warranty, but depending on your dealer and your knowledge of the aftermarket rules and such. Dealers will be quick to blame mods to void warranty. Ford tried to tell me that "my transmission failed because of my racing intake system" that was a load of BS. they replaced my trans no charge warranty. i just bought a clutch and flywheel

Cambers

Does anyone know if a 2inch drop will cause tow-in on the rear wheels? Would i need a camber kit? If I drop it i want everything to work like it is supposed to, I don't want to buy a new set of rear tires every 5,000 miles. :?:

casian_asian 11-04-2004 12:08 PM

coilover

i seen the areospeed coil overs r out, does anyone have em
