New Goodies for RS2_0!! PICS INSIDE!! (56k=death by waiting)

Pics of the newly lowered ride of RS2_0, which also happens to be an RS2.0 xA! Drop is via Megan Racing springs, calipers are high temp gold paint
and the new rubber stock is Nexen N3000's in a 215/40/zr17! Enjoy!
When I get the new shoes I'll post some high res pics professionally done up! :lalala:

Ciao.

The Megans give a lower stance (about 2") but not a really harsh ride. Handling was considerably improved and it will only get better with the new rubber.

That looks great!!! Wait until the springs settle and it will look even better.

Thanks for the compliments. I am currently getting my tires put on and I'll post some pics of my new goodies (besides suspension :D) in the xA general forum either today or tomorrow.

Cheers.

is it me, or does that thing not look lowered at all?

RS2_0 12-15-2005 03:00 AM

It is actually a lot lower, it is just the pics of the car are weird and they havne't settled yet, so here is a comparison.

OLD RIDE HEIGHT

NEW LOWERED HEIGHT

I'll post pics of the new tires tomorrow!

nice xA

DJ_Seksies 12-15-2005 03:24 AM

wow that it a big difference...
i didnt think that the ride was lowered either.
So stock suspension is that high huh??

RS2_0 12-15-2005 03:42 AM

yeah, it is a little 4x4 from the factory. Suspension drop springs give it a more aggressive look and handling. Not a performance car from the factory. You have to make it into one with upgrades. Thanks for the compliments.
Cheers.

xA's sooo need at least 3.5 inch drop. coilover time! :)

bBOXD 12-15-2005 05:33 AM

4" on a xA isn't even enough. A friend of mine is maxed out on his rears and there is still some gap. Thats on HKS Hipermax Type C's too. :)

RS2_0 12-16-2005 04:30 AM

The 2inch drop is enough for me. My car is a massive daily driver and with all the dips and potholes 4inch drop is not good for day to day use, at least not for me. Besides, with the carbon lip from street concepts i've been eyeing, I wouldn't want to go any lower. The new tires from Nexen fill up the wheel well better and are a bit wider. I will post pics of them Friday. I'd do it now but i'm too tired from messing around all day  . At least my car doesn't look like a 4wd station wagon anymore  .

Cheers

.... shoulda got thicker tire imo. would have filled up the gap better. also, you say its a daily and that you encounter lots of crap... woulda helped there too!

either way, looks pretty good

xAlex 12-17-2005 05:00 AM

is it b/c of the angle you took the shots??? but it seems as if the front and rear are uneven somehow...

RS2_0 12-18-2005 03:39 PM

I did get a thicker tire. i went from a 2054017(in the pics) to a 2154017(haven't got pics yet). It does look way better with the new tires and I suppose the angle i took the pics at was a bit off. I'll post new pics as soon as it isn't sleeting outside.

Cheers
