Q about rear bags.

Okay, I have installed my air ride. When the rear is raised from dump I hear a metal popping noise. Does anyone have this happen? If so what is making the noise? Should I be worried? Please advise.

what are you using in the back, what brand?

jdmrider 03-22-2005 10:35 PM

I'm using contech 6" bags

Mine creaks a little, not sure if its the same noise, but I'd just double check make sure your not rubbing anywhere

that or if your exhaust is on the ground and then makes a noise when the car lets weight off of it.

I am using conni bags as well.
I believe it is the bags themselves resonating because they fill so fast.
Im using .5" lines in the rear and am gonna change to smaller some day.I think its a combination of the bags expanding and resonating the surrounding metal.
If you listen to other peoples bags that use Conni, they will say the same. Not only on Scion's.

my easystreet bags make a popping noise that sounds like a basketball blowing up real quick.

I dont think youre hearing anything out of the ordinary.

the sound you are hearing happens to some people and DOESNT happen to others. i wouldgo under and check just to be SURE..that nothing is rubbing and everything is tight but my truck used to make that sound alot and some of the vehicles we've done installs on at our shop have made the sound as well. dont be alarmed ..just check underneath for good measure.
