Default Raceland coilover kits are now available for 1st generation scion xb's!

Congratulations 1st generation scion xb owners! Raceland coilovers are now available for your vehicles! After a bunch of us xb2 guys contacted them about making 2nd generation coilovers they decided to pull the trigger and make first generation ones! Lol

if you want to be low, save cash, don't care about ride comfort all that much, or just need to replace your suspension anyway try the new racelands for a low price of 329.99!

http://racelandus.com/p-149-coilover...b-1st-gen.aspx

just wanted to share!
From your friendly 2nd gen user
-Paulo

*straight from the Raceland website*

Fits:

  • 2004-2007 Scion xB
  • Toyota Yaris

Features:

• Individual threaded shock bodies
• Optimized shock valving
• Epoxy powder coated coil springs
• Blue silver zinc plated shock body
• Anodized spring seats
• Two year warranty

Description:

The Raceland, Scion xB, full coilover system is ideal for the driver who is seeking high performance at an affordable price. Raceland coilovers are hands down the best coilover system for your dollar. Like all Raceland coilover systems, these have been designed to withstand the stresses of sport and competition driving. The suspension travel and damping force have been fully tested by professional rally drivers over thousands of miles and in the most brutal of environments. Drivers will feel an increase in stability and grip without jeopardizing overall ride quality. This system allows you to set the ride height to your desired level, without having to worry about the damping settings. The damper is optimized to the vehicle and the associated spring rates. The coil springs are epoxy powder coated for long life and the coilover is blue silver zinc plated to reduce surface corrosion. Raceland coilover systems will enhance the overall style, performance, and quality of your Scion xB.

Includes:

•(4) Main spring
•(4) Damper
•(2) Top hat collar
•(4) Lowering spring seat
•(4) Spring seat lock
•(4) Bump stop
•(4) Dust cover
•(4) Rear washer
•(2) Hook spanner wrench
•(2) Raceland sticker

Installation hints:
Before you lower your ride height, find out if you are allowed to do so in your state. The installation of the coilover kit is to be done only by a licensed mechanic. We recommend that you spray light oil on the threaded part of the coilover kit to prevent seizing of the spring seats. Do not use pneumatic tools.

The upper insulator mounting with bearing that came with the car must be used. Aftermarket upper insulator mounts may not properly fit the Raceland coilover kit. After you have installed the Raceland coilover kit, test it by driving it slowly and re-tighten all bolts to the specified torque value. After the proper height has been determined, have your car professionally aligned. This product is intended to be used only in race cars and or show vehicles. The Raceland coilover kit is not to be installed in vehicles driven on public roads.

The disassembly of the shock absorber must be performed by Raceland mechanics. Please contact Raceland for information on the service required and the related labor cost and time necessary to complete any disassembly work. We do not accept any responsibility for any injuries or damage created by disassembling of the Raceland shocks by yourself. This should only be done by Raceland mechanics.

We caution you from driving on dirt roads and getting sand and grit on the threaded areas which may damage the threaded area and piston. If the piston rod is scratched, then the oil seal needs to be replaced, which we can do at Raceland. Please do not attempt to replace the oil seals because it is very dangerous. It contains highly compressed gases in the shock absorber. Do not drill the shock absorber because it will create flames. We recommend you do not modify the Raceland coilover.
Warranty:

Raceland offers a 2 year warranty with free replacement if properly installed by a licensed mechanic. Raceland assumes no responsibility for any accident, injury, death or damage which may be related to disassembly of the product performed by non-Raceland mechanics.

I will be keeping my eye on this. I would like to know the drop on them. If the drop is anything like the TC drop we should be good to go.

If you talk to alot of the euro forums. Raceland have a real shotty reputation. Then have a tendency to break or have a poor ride quality. You get what you paid for. Buy cheap coilover expect cheap coilovers. Buddy of mines mounts broke right off slamming into the cv boot and ripping it to pieces. Daily driver , on his way to school.
