05 Scion xB Rims and Tires

I want to use 16" rims. What is the correct specs and What size tires? Car is stock height. Would 16x7 offset +42 bolt circle 5x100/114.3 fit?

If so, what's recommended tire size. Want absolutely no rubbing.

According to the Chart above, the Recommended Size for 16" is a 16x6 Rim +39 and a 185/55R16 Tire IF you don't want it to rub.
Or you can go with a 16x6.5 +35 and a 195/50R16 Tire if you wish.

No, your 6x7 offset +42 bolt circle 5x100 won't fit. The Bolt circle pattern is 4x100, not 5x100.

The big issue with the wheels you show there is the bolt pattern / circle. A first gen xB has a 4x100 bolt circle. So you can write them off immediately.

I run 16" aftermarket wheels on my 2006 xB in the summer with fairly meaty tires and I have 1.5" lowering springs. I'll run down in the basement later and see exactly what size they are before reporting back later.

Ok, went down and checked what the details are on the 16" wheels I run on my 2006 xB. The tires are 205/50-16 and the wheels are 16"x7" with a +40 offset. And no, I don't get any rubbing.

Here's a link to a handy site that allows you to play with size, offset, etc.

The roads up here can get pretty brutal in the winter with potholes, but I don't run those wheels & tires in the winter. As for the ride, I'm running high performance tires with short / stiff sidewalls, so they ride pretty firm - but handle great.
