15x9 tire fitment??

my wheels are on their way from Nipon and their 15x9's

i was thinking 215/50/15. would 15x9 +0 225/50/15 fit with a df210 drop??
how much of a stretch would 215 give me?

thanks

aaron

195/45/15 could be stretched on that rim, else the tire might look too fat. Also, Im not telling you to do this, there are many safety issues involved. All I am saying is that it could probably look better with the stretched look and for fitment if your goal is to have all the tire tread covered....

Peace

A 205/50 will give you a nice stretch, especially on a 9" wheel.

15 x 9 with a 0 offset will most likely rub on dips and bumps.

yeah do a 205/50-15 im running a 195/50-15 on a 15x8....if you want you can stretch a 195 on a 15x9!!!! itll look sick! fo realz

bbsukidesu 08-02-2006 04:05 AM

yea man. i went to a local shop and they had a set of equip 3s that were 15x9 that had 195s on them. i pretty much got my mind set on 195s now.
all i'm woried about is if there will be rubbing.

i wanna know how much rubbing there'll be.

Boxer_Rebellion 08-02-2006 05:51 AM

Just look at the posts for the et0 15x8 sportmax 001's... you'll be sticking out 1/2" more than those. Most have had to cut/roll fenders or camber to keep from rubbing with any kind of drop. Your extra width will look awesome but I imagine will take some effort.

Ive seen a 165/50/15 on a 15X8 -5 offset with 4.5 inch lip (but yes 1 tread sticks out from the fender), thats why I have every confidence that a 195/50 on a 9 should have that extreme look you may want.

thanks guys.

how bad will it rub if i roll my fenders to the max?

Without air, you will always have some potential degree of rubbing at some peak situation. Be ready for the reality that if you want the perfect stance and fitment like the aired guys, you will probably most times rub at some time, else get air or some other adjustable suspension. Some folks try to get the look of what the air guys have but rarely pull it off without air.

Peace

Yes, if he says its all good, its all good, he probably seen them all LOL. What I meant was there could be those rare occasions of rubbing, really just need to see for yourself..

JDMJim 08-05-2006 11:39 PM

It's gonna rub no matter what. better mold on some mild flares and radius the fender to clear the tire. you got some work to do. And why play the game of guess my rim. they are obviously Works to be coming from Japan with custom builds. like 20 people already have them.

MyBoX 08-06-2006 01:58 AM

One thing I don't know why as soon as someone talkes about Good Japanese wheels everyone thinks about WORKS first, I'm not bashing people who own Works ( I run them on my track car too) but lets face it they are not the best quality, they do have their good quality line up and other ones are way way much better quality than knockoffs but most of them are just priced for the market so they are popular.

Regading Aaron's wheels, I know for fact not a single Xb here in state running the wheels he got and NO they are not WORKS, lets just say something a tad different.

Aaron, some fender pull/roll and some camber in rears is a sure thing. Fronts are what you should be worried about. They are going to stick out pretty good amount (and don't forget you might need that 5mm spacer) so either some fender work in front, or set of Damd fender flares and call it day.
