215/50/16 on a 16 X 7.5 rim with 38 offset. No problem with the tires rubbing against the wheel wells. However did experience two minor problems. First in the right front the brake caliper was grinding against the inner bore of the rim. Made a small groove. Solve it by switching the left and right front wheel (knew this would work as I had tried them this way the previous week during a trial run). On the back had to grind down the small circular support plugs which protrude out and rub against the front inner side of the rear tires. The left side one rubs more than the right side. Another solution to this problem would be the use of two small spacers. which would also bring out the rear wheels a little more. But that wouldn't work with my hubcentric rings. Note, car has not been dropped. But with the bigger wheels the gap is more noticeable.

6/9 Update: Discovered that the right front wheel (outer part of the wheel) was catching on a protruding part of the wheel well assembly (where the two portions overlap). However it would only happen after going in reverse with the wheel turned all the way over to the right. Then when we went forward, the outer edge of the wheel would somehow catch on the wheel well and we would hear a slight, but noticeable, thump. Think we solved the problem by cutting about a 1/4 of an inch off the protruding wheel well assembly with a shear.

ok guys i was looking around at the fabulous kits, you know the deeeep dished wheels and stuff.
well on there website it said the wheels they were using were 18x8.5 +18 offset 90mm outer rim (special low disk) in the front,
and 18x9.5 +18 offset 103mm outer rim (special low disk) in the back, and the tires are 225/35 ZR 18 on all 4 of them.

its listed at the very bottom of the bB and ist pages.

but i guess you would have to use there Inferno suspension kit to get them to fit properly.

17 x 7 with +40 offset - 215/40/17

No problems so far... Might add a spacer to the rear to bring them out a little.

Will a 15x7 w/+31 offset wheel w/205/55/15 tires fit on an xB with ~2inch drop. What is an ideal offset to fill the wheelwellson an xB if this fitment is not? I'm a newb to xBs, but not to modifying cars and I'm just doing my homework before making a purchase.

Thanks in advance for the help!

REMINDERS:

Be sure to check your lug wrench AFTER getting new wheels. The stock one doesn't work on my wheels because its not thin enough to fit around the lugnut without hitting the rim. I bought a folding star wrench.

Also, you may want to put some stock lugnuts in with your spare in case the aftermarket ones don't work right with the donut.

If you are lowered, make sure the stock jack can fit under your car or buy something that will.

Planning ahead for these things is easier than finding out when you're stranded on the road. Unless it's pouring down rain or a really bad spot, AAA is just too slow for me.

I am getting these rims in 18x7.5!!!!!

http://www.wheelpros.com/wheels/detail.cfm?id=511

I am planning to get 215/35/18 tires!

I am not worried about rubbing problems, cuz I haven't lowerd it yet.

My question, what I do about offsets? need spacers? Lemme know! (I read this whole thread but I figured I like to hear myquestion get answered directly!)

I'm very excited to get my silver xB in the next week. I am in absolute love with the Racing Hart C4s, and would like to roll on these 18s:

http://www.racerwheel.com/wrac-pkg-c41pc.htm

I don't see an offset here, but I can't find these any cheaper, so I would like to go with racerwheel.com. Can anyone please confirm that these would not rub using 215/35/18s?

thanks so much

Default Wheel sizes and offsets!!!

Hey y'all listen up! There should be no problem of rubbing with 19's on the xB even while it has been lowered. My xB has no rubbing issues at all in the front or rear without using spacers or modifying anything on the car at all.
I am running a set of 19x7in. wheels with a 42mm. offset on 215/35/19 Toyo Proxes4 rubbers and a 2in. Eibach drop and have had no such problems at all. My suggestion is if your in the market for wheels is to go to the knowledgeable
wheel shop and pick out your choices of wheels and have fun remember a narrower wheel with the correct offset equals no rubbing at all

Default So what would i need to put a 20 inch rim on a tc?

if thats possible what size tire would i need to put a 20 inch rims on the tc at factory height. If its not possible then wahts a good 19 inch rims and tire combo so i wont have alot of tire and alot of space inbetween the wheel well and the tire.

wheel size: 18x7.5 +35mm offset
tire size: 215/40-18
suspension: Hotchkis Springs/Anti-Sways

Rubs in front when wheels are turned. Looking into spacers before I start cutting the plastic fenderwell lining.

Rears are fine.

This info is for an xB.

Front: 19x8 +35 w/215/35/19 Nitto Neo Gens.. Slight rub when cornering and hitting a dip. No rubbing on lock to lock

Rear: 19x8 +25 w/215/35/19 Nitto Neo Gens... Pass side rub only (im sure due to the axel shift the xBs have.

Default 19 inch Wheels

:D

I just purchased and installed 19 x 7.5 (42 offset) R-1 Racing Wheels GTR5, with Falken Aventis 215/35/19 tires. My xB is stock and there are no rubbing issues at all after a very minor trim of the rear inner mud flap. If I can figure out how to post a picture I will do that.

Dont Honda wheels fit the xBs??

I thought they were also +40 offset, 4x100.

And for the tC wouldnt the older subarus be the same??

I used to have a GC body Impreza, and still have 17x7.5, 5x100, +50 offset Advan Kruezer Vs, would they fit a tC????

I am going to be getting the new Axis Crux Wheels but I have a problem they come in two different offsets.

One is a 42 offset and the other is 32 offset. Which one would fit my Scion xA and what is the difference in offsets?

18 x 7.5 Tenzo R mean 6 in ultra black with a 42 offset on 215/35's on Tein S-Techs, spacers are needed in the rear.
