Has anyone else had this problem?[TRD rims paint peeling]
I was washing my car today and was cleaning off my rims when i noticed that the paint on my trd 18s is coming off. It looks like the rims have a clear coat and its coming off two of them, and i have only had the car for about 2 months and less than 3500 miles. I have not hit ANYTHING, and the chips are not scratches (again, havent hit anything). Another thing that bothers me, is that when i took off one of the lugs nuts on each wheel chunks of metal came off with the lug nuts cause the paint bonded with the nut. I am wondering if the dealer is supposed to put anti seize on the contact surface of the nuts (not the threads)?
What the hell should i do about the rims?
What the hell should i do about the rims?

If you havn't curbed your wheels or scratched them, OR if there isn't any evidence, you may be able to get them replaced under warrantee? Worth a check.

i am been so careful, i park so gently, and always take like 2 tries to get into a spot. i am pretty bull**** about this. I mean, i didnt spend the kind of money i did on these rims to have them fall apart.

Looks like no, so far. . . but whether or not other people have it probably won't affect you specifically. I strongly recommend you take it to the dealer ASAP and ask for an exchange on the basis that it is defective. There's a good chance they might do it if you make a strong case, and be sure that you are firm that they have been babied. The longer you wait, the less likely they will replace them.
