Default Wheel questions

So I'm currently shopping around for a used 1st gen xB. I plan to do some basic mods, mostly just wheels, a little drop and maybe a few exterior mods.

Anyway, after looking around at wheels I'm really liking the Axis OG san in gold. My concern is they are pretty wide (8"). Now this car will be a daily driver and I drive alot so it's not going to be slammed to the floor. That being said, will a slight drop, say ~1" cause any issue with rubbing? I'd really like something that could use the stock tires so I'm not paying a ton for tires. Is there anything similar to OG sans that aren't quite as wide?

Additionally, while this is the wheel and tire board, does anyone have recommendations for what brand I should go with for the drop or what would look good with 15" wheels like the OGs?

With only a 1" drop you should be fine. I'm currently running 7.5" wide at 0 offset (wheels are 38, with all the spacers it brings it back to 0) and have about 10mm to spare. Of course, my fenders are pancake rolled flat and pulled out a smidge. I'm dropped on DF210s with about 2.3" lower than stock. Even when the fat boys are riding in the back seat, there's no rubbing.
