Help with size and Brand
Background:
When I got my xB a couple of years ago I went with Konig 16 by 7 inch wheels and Kuomo 205/55 tires. They rubbed on the front in hard turns so I downsized to a Kuomo 195/50 Escta <?> ASX.
They handled well but were noisy and wore out quickly [I got about 40k kilometers/ 25 k miles].
Worst of all I went on a trip expecting them to last 5k miles and they showed wear bars at 2k.
I had to buy tires in St Anthony, NFLD [look it up] and ended up only being able to get Kuomo Escta AST which are noisy and appear to be melting away.
What tire can I buy that will be quieter and hopefully last longer ?
195/50/16 seem hard to come by the the tire shop said they are for "performance cars".
Can I go down to a 185 on the 7 inch rim ?
I have stock suspension.
TIA
