Tallest Tire size on xA with Stock Suspension?
Hi All:
I'm new to the forum. I have 2006 Scion xA with around 70,000 miles on it. I have a question that I was hoping someone might be able to help me with: What is the tallest tire height that I can put on this car without issue? I was hoping to be able to fit 195/65/15's which are 25" in overall tire height compared to the stock tires at 185/60/15 which are 23.7 inches in overall tire diameter. I think this means that I'll have an increase of 1/2 of that diameter in height under the wheel well and an increase in 1/2 of that diameter in overall ride height (hitting the road). So, it should raise the car by 0.65" in overall ride height and add 0.65" under the wheel well. Does 0.65" under the wheel well leave enough clearance there? Is there an even taller tire I could go with? I like the look of more rubber and a taller ride height. That's all I'm trying to accomplish. Nothing significant. Thanks so much for your help. *Moved to Correct Forum by Administrator Sticky Where to Post Your Question Sticky How To Advanced Search SL (Scion Life) ______________________________ |
