I found a set of wheels XXR 525 im looking at the 18s in the machined red. I have read up alittle on this brand and most people say they rip off other brands. Now i dont want to buy knock offs but these look really nice. Does anyone have any input on this brand? Also if anyone has seen the set of rims they could be ripping off please let me know i would like to take a look at them.

I am not a rim guru like others here in scion life, but I have a set of XXR962 and they are solid rims. Somewhat heavy but built strong. My rims are 18x8.5 n 18x9.5 (bought them used from a member on here)

XXR from what I know are bad with clear coat, most of the people that have XXRs the clear coat started to show signs of it coming off, the ones I bought used, even though in PERFECT shape, have sign of the clear coming off.

A lot of people had interest in the XXR 527 due to the concave design.

check out NL Motoring for a good selection of XXRs. Check out the 527s and 530s (new for 2012)

in regards to your question regarding what rims they seem to steal the design from, I would say WORK and ROTA, Enkei, Konig, Motegi, etc. I could not tell you for example that XXR 527 resemble the _______ because I am not that familiar with the rims names, but i'm sure a rim guru could tell you that.

haha wow thumbs up for the gold 962s , i got a set on my egg. nothing wrong with xxr, i actually went from rota's to xxr because i wanted a bigger size. comfort wise both feel pretty good.
