Actual Aero kit?

Actual Aero kit?
I was dreaming of mods to do to our xB to make it more efficient. I KNOW that the best way to increase efficiency is to drive like a grandma hypermiler, but unfortunately my husband tends to fall asleep when asked to try that method.(really)
So, I was thinking of ways to make it more aerodynamic. Do companies that make aero kits actually test to see whether their products increase efficiency, or are they all for looks? Anyone know of kits that actually improve the xB when it comes to aerodynamics? Just curious.
My theory--lower one more inch+chop roof 3 inches+BB headlights+actual useful aero kit+hood lip= 2 more mpg. Maybe.
Now I need sponsor.

The conversion you listed will run about $5,000?
So when it comes to saving gas money, it's a losing battle here.
But your ride WILL look great after $5k of mods.
I would just have the xB converted with all electric engine. zero emission plus plenty of torque for take off.

Cheaper option is get air ride so you can lower the car the 3 inches rather than chopping the roof. Get lightweight rims, high flow air filter, cat back exhaust and drive at 65 mph rather than 70. You will get more than 2 mpg.
