i just bought the blazer lights from walmart, they look like they will fit great, but i havent had time to put them in yet.

That's my boy Prestons box. He got those from wal mart I believe.

Those are kinda what I was looking for as well. I was toying with the idea of round one behind the grill, but let us know how those fit. Also, please include brand and part / model number so I / we don't end up making more than 1 trip.

They look nice, maybe a yellow overlay for better sight during fog / snow? Also, are they fairly bright at night?

Thanks and they look good.

They fit great actually, look pretty much stock (at least where stock should have been). Ive got to find a good wall to aim them with, but they went in straight forward and in about 30 minutes. Please ignore the filthy car, it was raining all day today.

They do have these in 3 types: yellow fog light, kind of a rainbow overlay, and the clear driving light that you see below.

Those lights (I have them too, also on a CM box) are sold as Blazer at Wal-Mart, but Harbor Freight sells them for $5 less as "Halogen Driving / Fog Lights" (no brand name). Look totally stock!

They look great! How did you mount them? In front of the lower grille or actually cut out a section of the grille? I haven't looked that close yet, as I was budgeting for the factory fogs, but they (the factory fogs) actually look really out of place.

Alchemist80 01-05-2007 11:18 AM

i pulled out the 2 grill sections on the outside, drilled 1 hole in the bumper on each side and mounted them in. I drilled 1 hole in each side of the radiator support to mount the ground wires and thats it. No cutting or anything. I drove it for a bit last night and didnt notice any bounce, so the bumper itself should be plenty sturdy.

OK, great, Thanks!! I think I have a set of those lights I was going to isntall on my truck, but haven't been able to becasyue of snow and rain. Miight be easier on the box!

Robot_Box 01-05-2007 06:58 PM

Thanks i like them a lot i already have the factory ones but i want more i hope i dont get pull over for it hahah. You think your car is dirty you should see mine i like in portland where it rains all the time so theres really no point in washing it until spring i think i have an inch or dirt on it hahah. BTW how much were they?

ElChupacabra 01-05-2007 07:02 PM

Good info. I've been wondering what would fit in there. Since they always fall out anyway why not just replace those stupid grill pieces with something useful. Thanks!

The next question is wiring? Where did you get power and what switch did you use?

Alchemist80 01-05-2007 07:14 PM

These were $20. All the wiring, switch, etc included. I just attached the supplied ring to the battery (it has an inline fuse installed in the wire already) and ran the wires thru the driver side wire gromet in the firewall to the switch, which also came in the kit. Im going to lowes as soon as i can get out of town and grab a couple GSW-45 rocker switches that fit perfectly in the 3 slots under the radio in the center console.

is there any issues with the bottom grill flopping around. because the supports for the bottom grill are in the inserts that you take out to mount these.

Alchemist80 01-06-2007 12:46 AM

as far as i could tell, those inserts had nothing to do with the middle bottom grill. Those 2 little things just flopped around in there and the main middle piece was pretty sturdy (at least felt that way to me)

WalMart lights

Thanks for the great pics. I didn't want the OEM lights this time around and you gave me a good lead. Thanks!
