All you have to do is watch the movie IROBOT. The car is right there. It's like "Suicide Butterfly" doors or something like that.

But as far as the gullwing doors go, yeah there would have to be reinforced a bunch. I think that goes without saying. I'm not going to say it's going to be my mission, but I'm going to do my damnest to try and get this mod done. If it looks like hell (even done properly) I'll still be happy with it.

Here's pic of our own 4 door gull wing kit that our Japan office produces, if you guys are wondering if it can be done. We are still pondering if we're going to make it available in America.

That's a "scissor door" mod.

That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. EVER! Great! My girlfriend is going to leave me for sure after a week of talking about this!
I'll take it.

^ That doesn't even seem possible.

Where does it hinge? The's maybe 3 inches of space between the doors... Doesn't make sense to me.

SkeeTownBox 07-19-2006 04:00 PM

^ Those are not gullwings. Gullwings are like the Back to the Future car =D

that's tight. I'm planning on doing lambos on both the front and the back doors. how much would that run me? $3000?

Archngl 07-19-2006 07:20 PM

you wish.
Even if you get a cheap kit for the front... install is expensive as ____, and I garuntee the rear will need some SERIOS fab work.

Closer to 5,000 if you get the cheapest knock-off universal stuff you can find.

06PolarWhitexB 07-19-2006 07:42 PM

For the front I can get a used lambo kit right now for 350. It's universal but it still fits well. Just need a little trimming behind the fender. I can install it w/o a problem in a couple of days and that includes extending the wiring.

i like it looks pretty cool but i wouldnt do it to mine
