For the past week or so I have noticed a slow progression in having the shift into 3rd get more difficult (not notchy or abrupt, just like I am trying to get it through thick molasses before it 'seats' in.) So tonight I am picking up my daughter from basketball practice and the car isn't engaging in 3rd at all. Go to reverse to get out of a driveway and reverse isn't working either. So on the way home I am trying the gears and figure out that only the 'top' gears are working (1st, 3rd, 5th) but not the bottom. The clutch seems to be engaging the working gears fine....could it be linkage?
Anybody else heard of this?

 

Never mind, figured it out. The damn cable was resting on my Strup header for crying out loud. Crap, now to figure out a part #
