Ok now that I got my hood wrap I want a reverse hood but dont really feel like paying $200 and up for the bracket when I'm sure it can be made. Can anyone give me some ideas?

That would be a sweet way to display your cool hood. You'd almost have to spend the money to do it right tho. Maybe someone else has made there own and can hook you up with plans. Have you tried searching for one from a different vehicle that could be modified to work on an xB? Maybe even search for plans to make your own. There has to be something out there to get you started. Good luck and keep us updated, sounds interesting.

Or just copy the design and make something lighter weight for our lighter weight hoods.
It looks interesting cause if I do that rising sun thing on mine I may draw something up and fab it.

how does it latch up? Same as stock? Also guys this kit can be made...not to jack and sale but for those DYIs all it is, is alum angle stock with 8 bolts. Use teflon washes to keep it moving smooth. The mount can be made fairly simple

Yes!!!!
Am thinking about similar mod for my hood. But am thinking about using hood hinges from a mid 1980's BMW e30 model, because the factory e30 BMW hood hinges allow the hood to slide forward four inches and then tilts the hood upwards while at the same time drops the front edge of the hood downwards a few inches. Hard to see what I'm saying, but the vision lives in my mind.
(For now)
If I do this mod, I want it to look factory installed, not look like some type of aftermarket 'add-on' accessory.
