i just bought new led tailight ,the reverse and turn signals bulbs did not come with them ,they call for 7440 bulbs one amber one white each side ,i put in the 7440 led bulbs and now my turn signals blink real fast how can i fix this ,should i take out the led bulbs and try to find 7440 regular bulbs, ambers are hard to find but auto zone has the white ,i have heard about resisters but i dont know were to install or were to get the rite ones ,can anybody help!!!!!!

You could tap into the directional signal wire, and add a voltage regulator to bolt sides. I would get non-led bulbs.
See what I did.... it could not be brighter.....

I believe LED bulbs do not generate alot of heat/much less wattage used. For you can touch them + not get burnt vs a regular bulb/higher wattage. Therefore, you will may need a snow brush to remove any excess ice/snow as always with the regular bulbs in the rear.

Sorry to thread hack but is it possible to to change the speed of your turn signals? I bought some Spec D tails for my 05 Tc about 6 months ago and just wondered if you could slow it down a bit since the OEM setting is kinda fast for the LEDs.

yeah, you need to get an electronic flasher instead of a regular one. you can buy one at any car shop

he also has a link to an led flasher. but you should be able to go to any auto store and tell them you need an electronic flasher (instead of a mechanical one). then you just un plug the one in your car, and plug in the new one.

Any idea the measurement across the inside of the back windshield? I wanna get one of the split LED bars at Advanced Auto Parts that has full red and then half split yellow to blink yellow each direction. I can't find them online anywhere but they have them at my local AAP.

Or you could get a better flasher that adds one-touch signaling, and works with any combo of LEDs... no load resistors needed. Plug and play with your car like that DIY flasher replacement thread walks you through.
