lookin for some new headlights
 

ive got a pair of Sonars right now, ive taken them apart too meny times & im ready for something new

i saw these

does any one know anything about these
should i go ahead & bake them & seal them

I've never seen those pair up close... but from the pic, they aren't DOT "approved". It's missing some sort of yellow/amber reflector near the blinker. They also look like the older sonars, only without the light up eyebrow.

just run the stockers and put in HIDS!

Please don't... if I see you, you'll get a well deserved kick in the crotch if you have done just that. :icon_nono:

Done correctly nothing. However, those who don't know how to do it correctly blind the living snot out of most people. Aiming down does not solve the problem with the erratic light spray pattern. When the road is hot, the surface becomes a bit reflective, or if the road is wet... extremely reflective. I'm super sensitive to light... primarily yellows for myself. I know quite a few who have done the HIDs in stock housings and regardless of how they are aimed, people still flash them.

I have HID's in a stock RHD housing and never get flashed...if done right you're not gonna blind anybody.

Those are made by Helix, same people who made those entirely clear tails. With HID, they'd probably be fine, but I've heard that the quality of the projector is a bit below the Sonars. There's also the Anzo heads...

Another option is running a bi-xenon kit. I'm running that in the stock heads. Since the bi-xenon has a seriously beefy shield, there's very little glare, a good cutoff and the ability to not only retain your high beams but have HID highs as well. Use your existing ballasts and buy the bulbs on ebay, they come with a harness to tie in the highs. I think they were 60 bucks and they're awesome.

^^ thats what I'm running and LOVE them, I wouldn't go with single beam bulbs again after these.
