Default Rear Lip for dual exhaust

I was rear ended a month or so ago and I am in the process of having it repaired. I am going to add dual exhaust. I know I can cut a new hole in the stock lip or add a lip with a dual setup. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

If the duel are not done right you will loose power. You will need to leave the stock resonator on + have a qualified person doing the install. Also, it may look weird from certain angles when you notice that the second cutout doesn't have a flanged lip to it like the OEM cutout does.

Where are u going to put the second exhaust on the other side of the lip? or use a duel exhaust muffler tip on one side?

I know one person who had added a second muffler just for looks because his body kit had the 2nd cut out already + did not hook up to the exhaust system.

If you don't find any ideas on SL forum

, you may find some on clubxb.com.

Good Luck......

Default Rear lip for Dual exhaust

Thanks for the info Jimxb. Basically y off after the resonator to dual mufflers. I will have a qualified person do this. I do have a template to cut the lip from borla. I do realize that from the angles it might not look good. Just wanted something different. Thanks for the comments.

without getting into the mechanics.. you will probably lose lowend torque if you go this method

As far as the bumper goes I know ppl who just cut a secon hole; a little risky but it works and with the right tools it can be done well. Now for the duals I have a friend with a Yaris with duals; his setup is as follows:
Strup headers
Stock Cat
replace resonator with glasspack
split off with a "Y" tubing
pipes ran to the bumper
Borla universal muffler on each side
Nice chrome tip

It sounds very nice, and as far as I can tell there really is no power-loss but there is a good amount of drone on the freeway.
