Default Are you looking for fog lights?

I am in no way affiliated with this auction, seller, or manufacturer. I'm simply posting this as a public service to anyone who wants foglights for their xB but doesn't want to pay the high price for the OEM type.

I'm really intrigued by them... They came up in the "what fits in the factory slot" thread. I want to know if they'd hold up to HID.

GOod thing there's a post about this, I was about to make one concerning if anyone had experience with these yet. So has anyone bought these and installed them yet? I want to know the quality and if they plug right in before purchasing. I'm going to buy the Toyota relay as well just in case.

Are those black reflectors? The OEM foglights don't even put out much light to begin with. :?

I must say i'm very attracted to this price and I really want to get these but i'm gonna wait ..as i'm sure someone's bought these. But fog lights have been on my to do equip list for a lil' while. Finally there's an oem replacement for half the price.

First, I would say that these are too dark to be used as "fog lights"... I would rather classify these as bumper lights.

I dont know the light output, I'm just going by their look.

The best Ive seen as far as light output are the JDM ones w/ chrome reflector housings.

I did the same, only two weeks ago damn it!

Doesn't look like it includes the relay though, add another $39 for one from trdsparks if you want to run it through factory wiring. Unless there is a parts store alternative?

Anyone want to be the guinea pig on testing these out for us folks? I can't tell from the pictures if it'll plug into the stock wiring plug. I'll definately use a Toyota relay and switch for these if they DO work.

i wish someone would make some that look good... and i wish they were flush mounted instead of looking like they fell off the backside of the bumper and slid back out of place

Open em up and paint the inside chrome... wouldn't be all that hard... coast you about 5 bux and a few hours work.

Like mentioned earlier i'm in the market for some fog lights. I wanna retain the stock fog light's while still using HID's in the fog lights. I wonder if its possible to retro fit one of those cheaper fog light projector's in the stock/OEM type of fig lights...then the above mentioned ebay product would be a good buy if you're going to retro fit a projector in it anyway.

just a thought but i'm sure someone has pulled it off on this board..

since it uses a standard headlight bulb, just buy the hid kit for that bulb and its done.

why do a projector retro?

thats been done since the box came out...

The problem with that is that theyre not gonna be as effective. Chrome paint is basically just silver paint, which sucks.

These are cool if you want that dark look but dont really care too much about light output.

Yea..but i don't want my HID light projection going ape-____..and haywire..i'm not looking to blind other on-coming drives. I refuse to equip fluted lens's with HID's.

Now i'm wondering if its possible to squeeze in those tiny fog light projector lens's in the stock Fog Light's housing...it would be a tight fit...but it would virtually be the same as equipping a stock headlight with a projector from another headlight...like a tsx projector or something. I really wonder if someone has retrofitted stock fog lights with projectors.
