New member of the 200,000 club - now what?!
Hey all!
Name's PrinceOfBrains, I'm from Michigan, and I just joined (after having visited plenty of old threads for advice without an account ) to say my trusty gen 1 2005 xB has just joined the 200,000 miles club!
I'm the second owner, bought it in 2014 at 55,000 miles and it's been serving me well ever since. (Also, I named him Ironhide after an unreleased Transformers toy - long story!) I guess my question to everyone here is this: what did you do when you hit 200,000 miles?
I just replaced the serpentine belt and the sparkplugs, been keeping up on oil changes the whole time, etc. He's starting to show his age - one of the window switches just died (with the window up, thank goodness), the AC hasn't worked in years (which probably led to the window switch burning out, since I would just put the windows down instead lmao), and the suspension is factory so I know I should get that worked on now that I'm a little financially better off than I was when I got him.
Is there anything else I should get done in the short term? I know people are mixed on whether or not to get the transmission fluid flushed after a certain amount of miles, but should I get that or the fuel system or anything flushed? Any big repairs/replacements I should know about in the meantime?
Thanks so much, and I'm glad to be part of the community!

i am going through some of this now. just bought an 06xb that i want to 'feel like new again' so i am giving it a 100k mile service and then some - for piece of mind. all filters, fluids and belts are being replaced. the car has low miles (107k) but the belts squeak. i just want it running like new again.
If you have or if you google for the 06 maintanence/repair manual from toyota, they list everything that should be done at the 100k mile mark. you should do that and have a pro mechanic look over the entire car to see if there are any issues with bushings, boots, etc.
hope this helps.
