you may have a bit of luck with a piggy back air/fuel controller. you can create a new fuel map through the full rpm range, based on a dyno test or in conjunction with a wideband sensor.

what differences have you noticed with the bb ecu?
Gains / losses... everything works properly, your clock is in japanese kanji now, things like that... more power? can you elaborate on "car Runs Sweet now"? i am interested in changing the ecu myself... for a while i was looking toi get an echo ecu which does not have vvt-i so i could really maximise a new fuel map, but the bb ecu may be a better option as only the fuel maps are set differently then ours, but to my knowlage everything else is the same or very close...

well performance wise is alot better....more top end, bottom end torques is good up untill the vvi-t kicks in around 4500rpm and then it pull hardered to about 8 grand..that when the rev limter kicks in...but the down side is u have to run super unleaded gas cause it pings under load if u dont use it..also to when siting over night and starting up it runs rough till it comes out of open loop to closed loop..reason being is it only use one of the 02 sensor instead of 2 like the stock ecu...and the gas millage went down a bit..but it's worth it especailly pulling away from other xb's on the road...
