2006 Scion Xb windshield wiper

The left front wiper stopped working first on the highway stuck in up right position close enough for me to touch from window and ever since I put it down it hasn’t moved since. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

If the right side wiper is working then it sounds like there isn't an issue with the wiper motor and could be something as simple as a loose wiper arm...that's where I would start.

As has already been said, the first thing you want to check is to see if the wiper arm has simply come loose from the splined shaft that drives it. There is a nut that holds it tight to the shaft on the wiper linkage. If that shaft is not turning, you have a windshield wiper linkage problem. This linkage is what turns rotary motion from the wiper motor into back and forth motion of the wiper arms. The linkage is assessable by removing the wiper arms, then the cowl piece under the hood. A complete aftermarket linkage is a little over a hundred bucks. A factory linkage is more expensive, but better built.

Look in cowl and see if it has disconnected from the other link in there..............if it's not just loose up top
