Default Same...

I just bought a 179995 mile 2006 Scion xB and before I bought it I also researched...Toyota is a good brand and their cars a a decent life span
was reading lots of owners say total mileage can probably go to 300- 350,000 of course with proper maintenance...

How much is the one your thinking of getting?

I was a Original Owner of a 2006 TCM Automatic in 2006. I had it for 9 years and traded it in for my 2015 RS9. It had 177,000 miles and was the Most Reliable car I have ever own.
Other than tires, batteries, I replaced a timing belt at 85k and spark plugs at 100k. I've own many, many cars.

IMHO, 182,000 miles in good shape for $1800 is a Absolute Steal. Unless there is something wrong with it.

IF you you don't buy it, I will pay cash for it. I willing to fly across the country if necessary and drive it 3,000 miles back at that price, if necessary.

For Basic Transportation, it can't be beat. In time you will appreciate it's easy on gas, insurance, maintenance. Many people like the spacious interior. Overhead Driver's headroom and legroom is surprising.
You can fit 3 people in the back seat which is hard to do in a lot of new cars. Easy to park, and short turning radius. Parts are still available from your local Toyota Dealer or Online.

You made a Good Choice. Most New Economy cars are over $20k these days.

There STILL isn't another car out there better than my xB!

Totally agree with MR_LUV— just traded my '06 with 218K for a '13 with 46K that I got for $11K. No real issues with the '06 other than routine maintenance. The cargo with the second row flat is what gets most folks (Without any fuss, I've had two 26" MTBs loaded at once and a 7 CF LG dryer in there on another occasion). Apart from the obvious aesthetic, there's a noticeable difference in the two and I miss my 06 already... but alas, the wife loves the newer one.
