2006 xB questions (CEL repair)

I bought a 2006 Xb last week with 30k miles. 12 hours after i bought it the CEL came on. It kept turning on and off so i called the dealer that I bought it from and they said unless its on when they scan the car that they cant get the code to find the problem. I had read on this forum that the car stores it, so I asked about that and the guy told me no. Called another Scion dealer (much closer to my house) and they told me to bring it right in and they'll get the codes. After reading the codes they told me that it was the Idle Speed Motor that needed replacing. They had to order the parts so the car wont be ready until tuesday. This was all warranty work so I won't be charged anything for it. They gave me a new 2007 Camry until tuesday for free, so i'm happy about that.

Has anyone else had this problem? For some reason I never trust dealers or mechanics w/ my car. I know its probably dumb, but could they have found a larger problem but didnt want to tell me since I bought the car only a day and a half earlier?

Please let me know if you've had similar experiences.

Also, they seem like a pretty good dealership (Toyota Scion of Elgin) because they gave me that rental car and they even mentioned that some tail lights are out so they're goign to replace for free as well.

Seems like a good dealership to me... if they let you rent a car for free as well.. that's not too bad...
