Default ABS light came on today...?? Fluid level maybe?

I have a 2006 scion XA...and I just recently changed the front brakes about a week ago and Im curious if maybe the fluid level was too high...It came on with a buzz sound then turned off....I turned off the car and checked the level and it was right on the high level....I was parked on a small incline I did notice that at the back of the reservoir the fluid had reached the top of it because of being parked on a small hill....could I have just filled it a little too full? I ended up getting some of the fluid out and getting it just below the high line and I havent seen it come on again...I hope it was because when my pads were worn I added a little bit of fluid and maybe I just didnt take enough out when I put on the new pads....When I had my chevy Crapalier something similar happend and the ABS light came on then turned off after I took out some fluid...what do you guys think? is the level sensor in the back of the reservoir and maybe thats what caused it? Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

What prob happened was when you changed the pads the car got confused and thought that there was a blockage somewhere because of the added amount of fluid in the reservoir, happens to me everytime I change the pads. the system thinks that there is less fluid in the caliper than usual and freaks out...

About the time my pads are worn, the fluid is near the low line. After replacing them, the fluid returns to the full line. I have not added nor removed brake fluid yet. Third set of pads now.

yeah when I pushed the pistons back I took out the fluid to put it just on the line of high...I think I still had more that I should have taken out once the pads settled....hope thats it
