Having the seats fold back instead of foward? Is that what you are talking about? That is a good thought. Kinda like the old van bed.

Is this an attempt to make the xB the 2000's answer to the 70s/80s sex van.

i just fold the seat forward and yeah works good enough for me.

but i think he means having reclining rear seats like the tc and the element.

I don't think you could lay down all the way going tbackwards because of the limited trunk space.

You'd run into the strut towers unless you did some serious modification of the struts or seatbacks.

^^^ like max said you'd hit the strut tower, but to recline back that far would still be nice. don't think it has been done, but i know somebody who wants to attempt it, once he gets time

Exactly....I do know someone who removed the Latch that the Seats Lock into and now it Reclines Back. But it won't lay all the way down.

I am considering this mod for later this summer or fall. Similar to the CRV and Santa Fe where the seat has several positions of reclination. It is doubtful you can get 6 like the CRV or 7 like the Santa Fe but maybe 3.

I haven't fully explored the possibility yet and haven't examined the seat. Whether it is at all possible is unknown to me but I do have some cursory ideas that have a chance of working.

I'd just put them down forward and hook up an air matress, I bet a twin would fit, even a queen maybe?

I could see investing in rear seats that lean back IF I had one of those massive sunroofs for stargazing or handholding (and the like!).

For straight-out groping (or whatever...), I'd just pick up my girl with the rear seats already dropped, and a custom-cut foam matress in place in the back.

For effect, I might just put a few glow-in-the-dark stars on the headliner in the back.

A queen is a little to big. I just found our old twin-sized and will see how that fits

The bB seats in the rear actually move forward and backward. But there is no back bending though.

In Japan the whole VIP limo thing is the Fab.

Big benches, drink tables...basically making the back seat
like a limo. I wouldn't be surprised to find they have tilt seat
mods and the like out there.

Understanding that most drivers do not want to lose the back seat... but if you -can- do without you sure gain a lot of utility space for making whatever arrangement for cargo or sleeping or lounging.

Bean bag chairs, anyone? **** carpeting, Scooby Doo?

Wry rot!
