Default Covid19 Restore Project..2005 xB

Greetings,Greetings,

This is my 2005 Scion xB aka Toyota bB originally purchased in Westport CT (Toyota of Westport).
I bought the car some 6 years ago when the owners moved to Australia.
Over the past 18 months I restored and re-engineered the car from top to bottom.

I have replaced the entire exhaust system. Replaced the front and rear brakes, replaced the lower control arms and tie rods.

Then I installed the “BobRiceBurner” handling package:

Upgraded the Front sway bar to a Hotchkiss

Added a Progressive Group rear sway bar .

Added a DC Sport strut bar

Upgraded shocks and struts to BC Racing BR series – lowering the car 1.5 inches from stock.

15x7-inch Konig light-weight rims (Gold)

Yokohama Advan Fieva

Replaced the stereo with 8 Infiniti speakers and a Kenwood DNX574S head unit.

Features include:

Navigation,

Bluetooth (hands free phone),

USB phone charger

24/7 Dash Cam with 19 hours of continuous filming.

I added Fog Lights when I replace the front and rear bumper covers, added a OEM rear spoiler, then had the whole car painted.
I removed the back seat and spare tire completely to give it a cargo van utility. And about a hundred other little things.

How'd you go about painting the grill? Did you remove the bumper and spray paint it? And did you just use good old spray paint or something tuffer?

I replaced the front bumper cover and when I did I removed the grill and painted. First I cleaned with rubbing alcohol, then plastic primer, then rustoleum metal paint

Those Gold wheels look great. I was looking at Gold Enkei 92s and I thought I couldn't be so bold.

Thank you, At first I was a little shocked but I kept the rest of the car stock - except lowering it - and it came out rather nice.

That looks awesome!

I had a 2005 first gen. Sold it for a Tacoma, and regretted it soon as I drove it off the lot.
I ended up buying a 2014 second gen, but I miss my first gen. Looking for one now.

I like the idea of making a cargo area. Mind taking a pic?

I bought this wheel from a picture that didnt look so bright. I was a little shocked when they arrived but with the dark green paint I hoped it would be a nice contrast.

i am in greenwich and our cars are twins lol. green with bronze rims. i have infinity speakers on the way here love your box! i need to follow the bob the rice burner handling recipe.
i had a white gen 1 box from 06-10 and sold it like an idiot. I always wanted one but all of them have been so abused and destroyed. then i found one on marketplace that was super mint. 06, green metallic, 5 speed, 107k original miles, no accidents/dents and the paint looks like it's been done too. it looks just like your car. i paid $5,500 for it which is steep but the car has been incredibly preserved so happy to pay it. still runs like a top.
