I posted this about a week back in the Engine swap post that was locked.

Isn't it neat!!
I've been playing around with the Vitz in Gran Turismo 3.
So for I've gotten it to 280hp, and got a lap time faster than a lightly tuned WRX STi on Midway raceway

Some idiots decided to start arguing about who knew more about the 4A-GE engine that was in the MR2

No...it's hard to find a workable 2zz at the junkyard...so I'm waiting for my roommate's GTS But seriously, it's been thought of, but the ones who've tried can't find a 2zz with drivetrain for a reasonable price (or find one at all).

There is a 1ZZ-FE sitting at my work. It was in fine shape except it came from some girls car whos ex-boyfriend put sugar into it. The sugar gummed up the oil pickup. But other than that it was fine. Guy sold it for $20 I think.

LOL! 20 bucks! You got a steal.. clean that engine up. Stick it in your xA and boost it.

Oh I didn't buy it. This was before I even got my Scion. I don't plan to swap any engine in unless there becomes some swap for them that is easily done. I rather supercharge the stock engine than swap in another one.

As for swaps it's a shame its so hard for Toyotas. For my old Civic I could swap in nearly any Honda 4 cylinder made from 88-01 with little trouble. Tons of Integra parts bolt right up. Thats the best part about Hondas is that so many parts are shared. So I'm sort of just learning what can be done to Scions. But I like Scions because they are so new and what can be done to them is not fully known yet. Maybe I can pioneer some stuff.

Before i got my xA in Jan i totalled my VibeGT in December. The VibeGT, like the MatrixXRS uses the 2ZZ-GE. The engine is in great shape and sustained no damage from the crash... i know we sold it to a junkyard in SanMartin, CA. If any of you are looking for one.. its worth a shot!
