The Right Connection. They sell monitors and mulitmedia. They are pretty well known in the 12volt industry. Check out the system

Not sure, give them a call and have them find you the nearest dealer.

free wireless is easy to come by....

drive around with your laptop for 10 minutes and you will find dozens of wireless links...especially in affluent residential areas...rich people are too dumb to secure their wireless signals.

that is how i am on right now...someone in this complex has wireless connected to their cable interent access...and therefor...so do i. :D

Dave Moulton has a full computer set up. His car is featured at www.trumanmobile.com

I think he is officially the first Team Scion West member with touch screen monitors and a computer system... the TSW San Diego guys are sporting something similar with laptops, xNox, Game Cubes and PS2 ..sometimes in just one car.

I wanted to do the same set up but the wiring is a pain in the neck....plus the cost gets up there.

Anyone who is realy interested in this idea check out this site

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/

I am awaiting my xB in Feb damn living in FL sucks having to wait.. anyhow.. you can get everything you ever imagined from this forum on the "Carputer" ideas.. MP3, DVD, XM radio, FM, CD, Nav, Wireless networking, Car diognostics (Plug into OBDII) and so much more they have front end software to organize everything but basicly its windows or Linnex based. Personaly.. im building mine for the xB already touchscreen, RF remote, 120 gig hard drive, a "Lite" version of windows 2K (for fast boot) Nav, XM that USB XM radio reciever is only $49.. So much more is out there and its all things we take for granted on our home PCs.. DO some reading on the mp3car.com forum and youll learn alot fo whats available..

What exactly does a carputer do for you? Is it just an easy way of organizing and storing all different types of media and info? Or does it actually hook up to your car to tune it or something? I have a labtop computer pretty low end scale one and i am just interested on what i could do with it in my car. I also have an Ipod that i use now on my car stereo so what would hooking up the computer to the car do for me? Thanks for the help
