Did Anyone Get Thier Scion Fresh Off The Truck?
I got mine about 1.5 weeks after I ordered my 06 camo xB. They found one that was on its way here on a boat. they told me it was going to be there like 3 days after i ordered it, but then it took like an extra week because they said that Scion has some new Quality Check system that all the scions go thru before they are delivered.....did anyone else get told this too? or did I just get BSed? Anyway, I drove it off the lot with 1 mile on the ODO. It was a great feeling.
My 06 BSP tC took about 3 weeks. It was on the boat when I ordered it. I harassed the salesman every other day the whole time I was waiting. When it finally came in they said it had 2 miles on it, but when I got in...

there's no way it went from factory doors to the truck and back off in less than a mile. Don't they run the cars for a mile or two after they are built? Around the parking lot to make sure the car runs?
I watched them unload my car from the truck into the lot. After they went a 1/4 mile and filled it with gas.. and back.. I still had 3 miles reading on the odo when I drove it off the lot.......
Anyone know the procedures after the car is built at the plant? I always imagined someone starting it up and driving it out the doors of the plant, around a small parking lot/track, and right onto the truck... Anyone know?

Procedures, I'm not too familiar with Toyota. They will pull cars for spot checks, etc. Thus, more miles. I do know that most ports are controlled by a receiving company other than the car manufacturer or the trucking company. The trucking companies receive them from this company and deliver to the dealership.
The main thing you want to check if the car has more miles than say the norm 3-10, is the inspection miles. If this inspection sticker has a number closer to the higher end that the car has on it, then something has happened to the car and it had to be repaired. And Car Fax won't show this, it has yet to be owned by an end user. If it is closer to the lower mileage, than it's probably just test driving fun. Just my 2 cents worth.
yea, i'm going to call the dealer guy again tomorrow and bug the mess outta him. "HEY MR. DEALER, ANY WORD ON THE BOX?!" or something.. just to bug him. then he's more than likely going to say, "well, it's here right now.." and i shall pass out most likely. it's kinda like christmas.. some nights i find myself losing sleep.. sigh.
I ordered mine while the ship was in port. It took 16 days to deliver the vehicle to the dealership and I had 3 miles on the odometer. I bugged the dealer every other day. The car was well worth the wait.

A MILE! see, now thats the kinda milage i'm looking for when mine arrives.. i will be dissapointed if it's anything more. i might tell them to get me another one.. HA, no way. i mean, i'm hoping for like 1-4 or so. thats reasonable, right?

yea, i finally got mine off the truck. took a little over a week, but it is now here. I FORGOT TO TAKE MY CAMERA WITH ME THOUGH,, dern me. but it had 22 MILES on the odo when i recieved it. my idiot's, i mean dealer's, reasoning for the milage being like that was "they had to test out the cruise control." personally, i think the morons went to Krispy Kreme down the road to feed their bad habbits.. who knows. but the box looks NIIICCCEE. i am very impressed.. but not with my sales experience there. but the xB is definatly what i wanted. i'll get pictures up soon.
No one had any on their lots so we had to pre sale one. We looked at the invoice and found one ta the price we wanted. It was a Fridya and the ship with our car was to dock locally the following Thursday. We got the call that Saturday to come and pick it up and it had 2 miles on it. I had never even test drivenone so it was a fun trip home with a few detours.
Best experience with a dealer I have ever had and I have bought a few cars over the years.
