Door locks occasionally self-locking

A weird thing is happening this past year on our '05 xB. The drivers side lock seems to be acting strangely in that sometimes when I unlock the car twice to unlock all doors, they automatically instantly lock again. Sometimes does it, sometimes doesn't. I've replaced the driver door actuator with a cheap aftermarket one and the problem persists.

Should I be looking at another actuator that could be causing this? Sometimes it's even hard to get out of the car because it keeps locking on me.

Curious, does the passenger side actuator affect the whole car locking?

Thanks

How's the battery in the key fob?

That's what I was thinking but electrical stuff is not my forte.

The cheap aftermarket door actuator is the problem. They act up like that. I had similar issues - had to carry a spare key in my pocket for a while because I got locked out one time. Replace with OEM, used original or higher quality aftermarket unit.

Same here.

Interesting--I'm having the same issue, and I also replaced the front door actuators with replacement motors from eBay (rather than the silly-expensive OEM units). But maybe that wasn't much of a saving after being locked out once and another time being unable to open the hatch because all the doors would immediately re-lock. @ArmyGreen, did you replace just the driver side actuator to solve the problem?

Yes, just the driver's door, but my rear passenger is going out now. If you still have your original, you can replace just the motor inside of the actuator (check youtube). I was unsuccessful at doing this, so I used a cheap Amazon first. Locked out, like you, weirdness all around. Swapped over to an original, all good since.
