Exaust smells like rotten eggs..
So ive noticed lately that when i pull my 06 into the garage, the exaust smells like rotten eggs, what is the cause of this, and should i get it checked out? I know a bad battery will smell like that.. but im sure my battery is good, as i tested it at work today.
Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

A bad catalytic convertor will smell like that too. Might want to have the exhaust checked. However, for it being an 06, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the cat to be bad unless it was defetive to begin with. Usually you only replace one or two of those throughout the life of the vehicle.

Awesome, thanks! ill see if i can get it in this thursday to get checked out.. it seems like it only does it after its been auto-started, then driven. Or driven for a long time.
When i asked around at work, someone told me it could be a bad catalytic converter also, i just couldnt remember exactly what they said LOL so i didnt put it in my first post.
Anymore suggestions?

Hmmm...your post caught my eye because I just started to notice the same thing with my xA. When I pulled in to my garage the other night, there was a really strong sulfer smell in there when I got out of my car. I've never noticed it before, and I haven't really noticed it since then either. But man, that one time it was REALLY noticable. I didn't know what to make of it. I have also kinda noticed in the past week or two that my exhaust sounds slightly different during acceleration. I thought it was my imagination, but it seems to have a tiny bit more "growl" to it. I kinda like it.
If this is all related to a bad CC, I wonder how long I can drive it like that without harming anything?

...bad cat man..i member this from UTI... id say rip it out..put in a high flow cat....the normallife expectancy of a cat is a min. of 50,000 miles...but the way your drive...or the way the engine is running could make it go bad. have a emission test ran on it. my 2 cents, lol...feelin better???

Your catalytic converter is not necessarily bad. It could just be that the fuel you are using is overly rich and contains a bit more sulfur additive than usual. This is not uncommon for filling stations to do at the beginning of the winter. Before you go dropping $$$ on a replacement cat, you need to be sure the one you have is truly bad.
Is this sulfur smell constant, or does it only occur for a few minutes after starting the car cold? Is there any noticeable drop in performance or gas mileage? Are there any unusual noises that seem to accompany the smell?
If the smell is not constant, and there are no other noticeable problems, then there may be nothing wrong with your catalytic converter. If you are still concerned, you could take it to your local inspection station and have it run through an emissions test. An emissions test will certainly show if the cat does actually have a problem.

It's most likely your Cat.Converter. If your car is an '06, take it back to the dealer.
It could be your gas, but like the other guy said- if your just notice it every now and then.
If it is a constant, strong-"damn who farted"- kind of reeking egginess, then it's definitely the cat.
'06? Dealer time.
