The previous xB release series generated significant buzz and excitement,
capturing a youthful, image conscious, trend setting audience, and enhancing xB’s fresh appearance and functionality. To further build upon this success,
the Scion xB Release Series 3.0 will represent an exciting departure from the norm, offering the ultimate in urban style and functionality.

All of the xB Release Series 3.0 vehicles will feature a bright, head-turning, Envy
Green exterior color, which is complemented by many distinctive and refreshing
interior and exterior enhancements including:

• Unique color keyed front radiator grille
• Color keyed rear spoiler
• Individually numbered xB release series badging
• Freshened Limited Edition wheel covers
• Alpine DVD audio / video receiver -iPod compatible with integrated steering wheel controls
• Premium Alpine speaker system
• Vizualogic Dual Headrest 7” Rear Seat Entertainment with headphones
• Radar intrusion sensor-equipped Security system
• XM Satellite Radio Tuner with Cover, includes 3 month subscription

Only 2,200 units of the xB Release Series 3.0 will be produced. They will begin
arriving at Scion dealerships in February 2006.

The pricing on it will be $2,310 for the package. I just got the info myself and was going to post it, but I saw that it had already been done.

Does anyone think that the Alpine head unit will be compatible with the video ipod?

the reason they dont put rims on it is so that you can get whatever style wheels you want not what they think looks good on the car.

As a matter of fact it stars tommorow!! They are supposed to be releasing a 2.0 tC. I hear it is supposed to be Speedway Blue!! The Alpine Headunit is supposed to be iPod compatible.

In the original post, it says Alpine DVD audio/video receiver... guess it has a screen.....wonder about the quality....

i just got back from the dealer. i put my order in. my dealer is only garanteed 1 and im the 1st in line! i suggest if you want one to get on it 2morrow!

As an owner of a RS1 for almost 2 years now; 03/13/04, i shake my head in disgust. I can not believe that with every release that Scion is putting less and less into them and selling them for more. For Example ....

RS1 .. Hot Lava Orange 2100 units. + $980
paint .. rear spoiler .. Hotchkis strutbar .. color matched fabric .. Pioneer 6 disc multi color stereo .. interior lights .. billet grill

RS2 .. Something Yellow 2200 units. +/- $1800
paint .. spoiler .. RS2 door sills .. mesh front grill .. OBX exhaust

RS3 .. Envy Green 2200 units. + $2200
Alpine headrest monitors .. front grill .. hub caps .. rear spoiler .. XM radio with 3 months free ( we all know XM did this cause Sirius had 3.3 million join over the holidays ).

It just makes me sad that Scion is cashing in on what is popular. I mean, isnt it good enough that Toyota is kicking ___ and is soon to take over or buy GM? Should they really knickle and dime the people interested in a low end low priced car cause its popular? Makes me glad that i bought my RS1 and that im not new to the Scion scene and paying a lot more for a lot less.

maybe 700 extra is a bit much, but when you look at it, your getting TVs installed factory with (im sure) a very good fit and quality seeing as how they are alpine. times change along with inflation and i am sure part of the reason it was cheaper in 04 was due to the newness... they had to get out their, and now the popularity is rising, so should their profits. i commend scion and would hesitate to give them what they deserve.
thats my opinion though

the RS3 also has and indash dvd screen and apline speakers...your looking at ATLEAST 2500 worth of stereo equpitment more then likely +3000

You do know that the DVD in dash is only a player. Your screens are in the headrests.

I may have some pics of it when I go to the auto show. Do you guys want pics of all the special features? I can't guarantee it will be there.

I'm with cbsimonsez on this, the RS1 was much better price point wise (and I still like the color more).

I'm really wondering:
LE wheel covers?? I mean sure but still...
seriously? instead of alloys...?
you know how easy it would be for someone to jack you for your "special edition" wheel covers?

why not some nice headlights... or unique tails.. something to make it really stand out other than the color...

and the theft thing is a big problem... I might as well hang a big sign that says "steal me, I have expensive stuff on baord"

I don't think the pricing is that bad. The dvd player and dvd headrest screens bought and installed by the dealer will run you close to the cost of the entire RS 3.0 price increase. The memo the sales person had pointed this out.

When you add the security system into that I have no complaints with the pricing.

I was the first to put money down at my dealer and can't wait until it gets here.
