Default Found my xB? Opinions appriciated.

Hey guys, I'd really like your feedback on an xB that I looked at.

I'm very close to buying an xB, and was pretty decided on buying a new xB, however I found a fairly good candidate:

It's an 04 BOP xB w/ 32k miles on it. Asking price is 14k, and with how the dealers around here haggle, I think I can get it down to 13,500 or 14k out the door (tax/lic included).

It has 19" (maybe 18"s) gunmetal Motegi MR7's (i think) w/ new tires. Lowering springs added to put the xB at a nice level. Conservative ground effects kit w/ a few scuffs, w/ factory spoiler. Hotchiks swaybar, Injen CAI, Injen Exhaust (not sure if it has a non-stock header). Also has that swaybar that ties the wheels together (forgot what its called). Did not see any blemishes on the exterior w/ a few scuffs on the plastic inside. The interior looks mint w/ a matching blue headliner added. Also appeared to have a shortshifter added and a decent headunit.

I've never really wanted to buy a car w/ lots of mods added, but I really liked all the added accessories. I also know that when someone mods something, they usually drive it harder, but I really saw no signs of the car being abused as everything looked like it came straight from the factory.

Thanks so much for any feedback on this . Considering I'd bet most of the add-ons eventually anyway, I think that offering 13,500 or 14k OTD would be a good bet.

Does not sound too bad. But there are so few around here I don't have any point of comparison. I Spokane you either buy new or pay some rediculas markup from a used dealer whether or not there are any add-ons. Miles are a bit more than I'd care for but still the box is a good car for many more than that.

not a bad deal considering the crazy prices used boxes are going for.......if you don't want to do the mods yourself than go for it....

Any tips on stuff to check that would be bad/good signs as to how it was treated?

More comments are welcome to whether you think its a decent deal.

From a mechanical standpoint check the oil and other fliuds and make sure it is clean ad does not have any deposits, etc. Underneath look for damage that can be missed that would indicate that it has been bounced over curbs or other obsticals. Check the body seams. They should all be smooth and have a factory appearance. Where the doors and hood meet the seams should be even all the way around. A sightline alog the body should be smooth and without waves or wrinkles. There should be no stray paint inside the wheelwells or underneath on the suspension indicating that the car has been repaired and repainted. Basically, take time the really evaluate the car. And keep in mind that it is not the only one out there if you find something that just does not seem right don't hesitate to walk away, there are may more that will fill the bill just fine.
