Default Help with vent controls

My car got broken into like a week ago. The center console was ripped off. I put it back together, but, found out I can't control the direction of air flow. When I turn on the ac, no air comes out of the two front vents near the radio. The only cables I found were for hot or cold air. Isn't there supposed to be more cables? Help!

I guess I just dont really understand your question... The three plugs that I circled are the three for the HVAC controls.

I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a cable or wire. I can't seem to control where the air comes out.

The air flow is controlled by two cables in a housing like the brake cables on a bicycle. The end of one cable is clamped onto the back of the defroster damper control , the other is clamped to the back of the air mix damper control (Left **** and right slider switch for circulating/recirculating air).

check out pp 55-25 - 55-27 of the manual.

Got it! Thanks man! I made it more complicated than it should. I expected more than two cables to control air flow and air temp.

Here is a link to the factory service manual. It will show which cable does the temp and which one controls the blend doors. Good luck straightening it out and sorry that someone did that to your box.

Problem 1) My 2008 xB vent control **** won't turn all the way to defrost.
Problem 2) I bought the car used, I notice that the AC fan is always on, seems that someone had changed & re-directed the wires.
AC is cold when driving, but not cold on idle.

Dunno, mine is 1st gen.....maybe someone in 2nd gen section can help. Either way sounds rigged and some wiring needs to be fixed and probably the cables that control the air routing.
